APW - Illinois, Bunn Special, Grade 163, 23J 60 Hour, Type I marking, 16S, gold-filled OF original Bunn Special Model 28 case with brushed satin finish and fancy engraved initials to rear, "Illinois Bunn Special 23 Jewel 60 Hour" marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, rayed pattern nickel damascene, s#5390157. An absolutely exceptional example, in virtually as-new condition throughout.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates, few small micro-fine scratches to balance cock, few small specks of oxide to regulator assembly and one to larger winding wheel edge; virtually flawless dial with few negligible small micro-fine scratches; nearly mint hands; case shows no wear, tiny nick to band at 4, no dents or dings, superb crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
